A fully restored red caboose built in 1926 for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad is on display on Hanover Avenue. The caboose stands alongside Ashland Museum and is available for tours when the Museum is open.

The interpretive kiosk at Stop 3 invites visitors to imagine the caboose in action with a full crew, evoking romantic notions of the railroad as demonstrated in this audio.
